Which Xbox One accessories work on Xbox Series X|S?
Microsoft says Series X|S works with most Xbox One controllers and accessories, and with any officially licensed Xbox One accessory that connects over USB or wirelessly. The two Xbox One accessories that don’t carry over are Kinect and the Digital TV Tuner.

Controllers
The Xbox One controller, the Elite Series 2 and the Adaptive Controller all work on Series X|S. The Media Remote and the Xbox One Chatpad are also listed as compatible.
The Series X|S controller adds a Share button and a USB-C port. It also pairs with an Xbox One, and the Share button works there too. The Xbox One Play & Charge Kit works with the new controller, but it needs a USB-C cable instead of its micro-USB one.
Any wired USB keyboard and mouse can be used, plus some wireless ones such as the Razer Turret. Whether a game supports keyboard and mouse is up to its developer.
Headsets
- The Xbox One Stereo Headset, the Stereo Headset Adapter and the Wired Chat Headset work.
- Headsets plugged into the controller’s 3.5 mm jack work.
- Bluetooth headsets can’t connect to Series X|S. Use a wired connection where the headset has one.
- Headsets that use an optical cable may need a firmware update to carry game and chat audio over USB. If no update exists, they can be connected to the TV’s optical output instead.
