PS VR2 specifications and PC requirements
PS VR2 connects to a PS5 with a single USB-C cable. It does not work with PS4, and it can’t play games made for the original PS VR. On a Windows PC it needs the separately sold PS VR2 PC adapter.

Connection rules
- The DisplayPort cable (sold separately) must go directly into a DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort output on the PC. DisplayPort over USB-C is not supported.
- The adapter’s USB cable must go directly into a USB 3.0 port. Extension cables and USB hubs can cause malfunctions.
- Some Bluetooth adapters are not compatible. Sony keeps a list on its Bluetooth adapter compatibility page.
- Use the latest graphics driver; if that causes problems, Sony suggests trying the previous version.
Software
Three free downloads are needed: Steam, SteamVR, and the PlayStation VR2 App from the Steam store. The PS VR2 App sets the play area and updates the headset firmware.
