GameCube: IBM Gekko 485 MHz, ATI/Nintendo Flipper 162 MHz, 40 MB memory, 1.5 GB discs. GameCube controllers work on the original Wii (RVL-001); on Wii U only in Smash via the adapter.
Check the disc is a Wii disc inserted the right way, clean it, and test other discs to tell a bad disc from a bad drive. Nintendo no longer repairs the Wii.
Only the original RVL-001 (serials LU/LB) plays GameCube games. The RVL-101 (KU/KB) drops the GameCube ports; the Wii mini (HW) also drops online, SD cards and has one USB port.
